The Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge, Inc. is a 501© 3 organization. As a non- profit organization, the refuge is governed by a ten member board of directors including the executive director Amanda Wilkerson. After being elected by the refuge’s general membership, members of the board serve the refuge on a volunteer basis for terms of three years. The focus of the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge board of directors is on its philosophical, legal, and financial goals.

The 2010 board of directors is comprised of leaders in the disciplines of education, government, law, science, and finance. The Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge board includes members such as a former State Representative, a local attorney, financial consultant,and key area business owners. Their dedication, vision, and expertise combine to form the key component in the success of the refuge’s operations.
